We don't collect your data.
Effective October 10, 2026
Petwhile has no account, no ads and no analytics. Your game stays on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. We never see it.
This policy covers the Petwhile app for iPhone, made by Lanely Labs LLC ("we"). It explains what the app stores, where it goes and what we can see, which is nothing.
What the app stores
Petwhile saves your game on your device: your pets and the names you gave them, your homes, what you've collected, your kibble and your settings. You don't sign up for anything and the app never asks who you are.
iCloud backup
So a new phone or a reinstall doesn't start you over, the app keeps a backup of your game in your own iCloud account using Apple's iCloud storage. It is stored under your Apple Account. We can't read it, and it isn't sent to us or to anyone else. You can turn the backup off in the app's Settings, which also removes it from iCloud.
What we collect
Nothing. The app sends no information to us. It has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party code that gathers data.
Purchases
Kibble packs and bundles are bought through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple handles the payment and we never see your name, your card or your Apple Account. Apple shares sales totals with us that don't identify you. Apple's own privacy policy covers what it does with purchase information.
Reminders
The app can show at most one reminder a day. It is scheduled on your device and nothing about it leaves your phone. You can turn it off in the app's Settings.
Children
Petwhile is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, children included.
This website
The app and this site are separate. The site has no analytics or advertising cookies. Two things on it involve other companies:
- The contact form on the help page is run by Formspree. If you send a message, your email address and what you wrote go to Formspree and then to us, and we use them only to reply.
- The fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads, as any web server does.
Your choices
Deleting the app removes the game from your device. Turning off the backup in Settings removes it from iCloud. You can also manage what apps store in iCloud from your iPhone's own settings.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top. If the app ever starts collecting anything, we will say so here before it does.
